This set was released by the U.S. Mint in 1994 to honor and commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Jefferson. The highlight of the set is the 1994-P "Special Uncirculated" Jefferson Nickel in the set. This was a special frosted MS coin they minted only for this set, and they minted a tiny 167,703 coins, making it the most rare of all Jefferson Nickels, and that coin is really what gives this set most of its value. The set also includes the 1993-P Jefferson Commemorative Silver Dollar and an uncirculated 1976 Bicentennial $2 Note. This is all packaged in the original government packaging, which also includes the informational inserts and certificate of authenticity and outer sleeve.The set is in excellent condition. The Nickel has a bit of rainbow toning to it, and the Silver Dollar and $2 Note are near-immaculate. I do have multiple sets available in the exact same condition and packaging if you were interested in buying more than one.
