Description: The program is as nice as the day it was bought. There is only very light wear and the top left corner of the back cover was bent at one time. The ticket stub has two nice corners and no creasing. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program. The 1973 Southern 500 was held at Darlington Raceway on September 3rd in front of 70,000 fans. David Pearson won the pole with a speed of 150.366 mph. Cale Yarborough would pass David Pearson with 64 laps to go to win the 24th Annual race. Pearson would finish second, followed by Buddy Baker, Richard Petty, and Benny Parsons.
