Description: This auction is for the item pictured. It is a 1970 to 1973 Schwinn Sting Ray 5 speed stik shifter. It looks all original including decals and screws. It works well and would work on several models of Schwinn bikes. Both decals show wear with some missing material. The handle looks straight with no abnormal bends in it. The chain guard side of the handle has a small spot of missing chrome and like 3 small spots of bubbled up chrome at the lower bend. I don’t see the bubbles flaking off unless it is grossly mishandled. There is some rust on the insides as shown in the pictures. It has some nicks, scratches, wear and pitting spots with chrome loss. The black rectangular pad on the inside of the back plate that helps keep the shifter in place on the top bar is still there and complete……a lot of them are missing. Overall, just an average looking, working condition, part for your bike. The item in the pictures is the item you will receive.
