It is in the original and very appealing RED colored factory paint. If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool mens "Fastback" style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (a very unique color you do not see often) original screen chainguard, cool factory color matched Schwinn fenders, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser style handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, Schwinn bow pedals, (would look nicer with detailing) and more! The cool factory RED color which looks great on a bike like this! *This frame is COOL and you almost never see them! I always thought it would be awesome to make a full size adult Schwinn Fastback or Manta Ray bike with a stick shift and large wheels! (this would be the perfect basis for that, use your imagination!) Keep it a 1-speed or maybe even convert it to a 5-speed stik shift!) I heard these bikes are getting crazy popular in California these days! This has the correct spots on the frame and front forks if you would ever want to add hand brake calipers! (see pics) HOW COOL would it be to have add a banana seat, sissy bar, and high rised handlebars and have a Stingray and adult can rider?! The choice is yours. The 1963 20" Schwinn Stingray bikes are the hottest thing out there as they were only made for 1/2 a year. Own the next best thing that you can actually ride and enjoy! *Check out the pics, this one looks like it is moving FAST even though it is standing still! I love it and have never quite seen a vintage Schwinn that gives that look like this one does! *The tires are 26x1 3/4". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has Schwinn S5 rims front and rear with a Bendix 70 rear hub. *This one has lots of potential. Add high rise/apehanger handlebars and a banana seat and have a real head turner! *The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) *DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 29 1/4". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 17 1/2". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one JUST LIKE YOU SEE IT! The paint looks respectable for a 50+ year old bike! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
