Except for the single trimmed edge, you’re seeing the full page exactly as it was created. As a result, sometimes the text and in-page images may look tilted; this leaves more space for matting later. You can see the entire page, edges and all, resting on a black border to help you judge overall condition. No virtual cropping to make it look perfect, no hidden surprises when it arrives. Also corner folds, edge damage, creases, ripples, scuffs, smudges and other imperfections are normal. Pages may show pressure marks from production or years of storage. Images are scanned on black background, NOT matted or framed. Many older magazines printed misaligned with their edges. I only trim the spine edge, leaving the other three sides untouched.
