Description: 1955 Topps Double Headers #s 79/80 - Roy Sievers/Art Fowler - Washington Nationals / Cincinnati Redlegs - SGC 4 On the Set - 1955 Topps Baseball Doubleheaders:The 1955 Topps Baseball Doubleheaders collection encompasses 66 cards, each measuring a large 2-1/16" by 4-7/8", inspired by the design of the 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders. These cards feature a unique perforation in the middle, enabling them to be folded. When unfolded, they reveal vibrant paintings of players set against a stadium backdrop. When folded, they showcase an alternative player and ballpark scene. Each card is individually numbered, with two consecutive numbers assigned to each card. The player associated with the odd number is visible when the flap is open, while closing the flap reveals the player with the even number, using the same leg portion. When arranged side by side in reverse numerical order, the 1955 Topps Doubleheader cards ingeniously combine to form a complete baseball ballpark. On the reverse side of the cards, you can find brief biographies and statistics for both featured players. The 66 cards in the set collectively represented 132 different players, all of whom also appeared in the lower-numbered cards of the regular 1955 Topps set.
