Description: "REDSKIN AND COWBOY" ORIGINAL GAME BOARD – 1930's or earlier. Maker unknown (first we've seen). 24.5" x 12.5" (open). Color litho on heavy cardboard. We offer a highly graphic game board with outstanding western-based imagery. The board, a wonderful display unto itself, features attacking Indians on horseback & cowboys on a wagon train (with Indians hovering nearby behind rocks). "Apache" & "Sioux" tribes are mentioned on board as well as "cowboys" & "regulars". Four spinners are built into board (with all tin arrow pointers still attached & functional). This board also features a colorful 7" x 3.5" label on blank front with game title. NOTE: We are selling the BOARD only (rest of game is not included). A very scarce western display with excellent eye appeal. Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered scuffing & moderate paper edge deterioration on board edge areas. Miscellaneous litho paper loss around spinner imagery due to use. Scattered edge chips with pencil markings on outer label. Board folds in half vertically (as made) with approx. 1" fabric spine edge separation. Though apparent, we feel these defect does not disturb the boards visual appeal dramatically. Colors & imagery are still bold, bright & very attractive. Overall, considering its age, we feel this is a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
