1926 Illinois Illini @ Michigan Original Ferry Field Football Program PR++

Description: This is a sale for a 100% original Program for the University of Illinois Illini at the University of Michigan Wolverines for the 1926 game. This program is in POOR PLUS condition. (td.br) This PROGRAM is INCREDIBLY SIGNIFICANT for a multitude of reasons: * First and foremost, this program is a FERRY FIELD era program...before the Big House was built (much lower attendance) so survival rates of this program is much lower than 1927 forward (on average) * The cover art is gorgeous! And this program is an absolutely high grade. The original owner took such extreme care of it that nearly each page has a piece of wax paper between the program's pages. There are also newspaper photo cut outs inserted randomly (see pix) throughout - pretty cool! * Program features Fielding Yost and All-Americans: Benny Friendman & Bennie Oosterbaan (both consensus), John Lovette, Joseph Truskowski (UM) and Bernie Shively (consensus), Robert Reitsch (IL). NOTE - I Just scored many Michigan programs ranging from 1907 to 1949. Please reach out if you have specific requests!!!! I am looking for several ticket stubs to this rivalry: 1969 & 1963 - your help will be rewarded significantly. The less than ideals are: The most noticeable flaw is the overall tears to the cover (on all sides), otherwise, the spine wrap has heavy wear and as you can see in the pix a prior owner taped the cover to the first inside pages (front & back). Other surface, edge, page turn, etc. wear exists. Corners are rounded, dog eared and even torn.. The inside pages are fantastic. The back cover does show some handling soiling and spotting which given the white paper stock shows easily. Inside pages are overall in better condition. Program is unscored and has no missing pages or period notations. This artistic cover program is a gem!!! Please see pix. PAYMENT & RETURNS: Payment due no later than 3-days after auction closes.
