Description: 8 1/2" wide by 11" tall typed letter dated 1922 from the Percolator Pipe Company in New York City. The letter is written on ornate letterhead that pictures a smoking pipe on one side with a cutaway image of the same pipe on the other side and reads: "Percolator Pipe Co. Inc. Trademark Registered. The Percolator Pipe. Sold with an absolute guarantee New York. 100% perfect precious would percolator. 1931 Broadway at 65th St. telephone Columbus 4505." The letter is dated May 12, 1922 and is written to a Mr. Hanswerner Speyer 45 Pine St., Providence, RI and reads: "Dear Sir: thank you for your postal of the 6th. Under separate cover we are sending you a generous supply of folders, "Put This in Your Pipe and Smoke It", but as yet we are unable to send you any of the illustrated catalog's. Just as soon as we have a fresh supply of them, we will forward you some. Our guarantee means that we guarantee a man's complete satisfaction. In case any pipes prove unsatisfactory, when you return them to this office and we receive them, we will either replace the pipes or refund you your cost price. This of course is a great help in selling anybody who is skeptical of the claims we make for the pipe.
