Description: SYNDETIKON | KLEBT, LEIMT, KITTET ALLES A simply wonderful original Cinderella stamp depicting an advertising poster for the German glue company, Otto Ring und Co. The artist is the celebrated typographer and graphic designer Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke, a follower of William Morris and, early in his career, a teaching associate of Peter Behrens. This charming, vibrant image dates from ca. 1920 and its legend translates as 'Syndekiton. It glues and cements everything!' A master typographer, book, poster and trademark designer, Ehmcke was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal of the Order of Merit of the German Federal Republic in 1963. Size 50 mm x 36 mm approx.
