Description: 1917 San Francisco Mint Wood Grain “Woody” Lincoln Wheat Cent Penny Improper Copper Alloy Mix Error. Pretty sure this qualifies as a woody. There are mostly visible wheat lines and the cheek and jaw bones don’t look separated. So, I think it would be “Very Good to Fine”. It’s too worn to see if it matches Wexler’s RPM for 1917.
