Description: 1910 postcard from NYC - "Just finished a design for a flying machine factory." Maybe the writer was working with Curtiss or one of the other pioneers of that era in the NY area. Item is a very clean picture postcard of the YMCA Building in Providence R.I. The card is franked with a 2 cent Franklin with a CDS "NEW YORK, N.Y. STA. D JAN 22 1130AM 1910" Message is very clear:"Hope your foot is getting better. You can't go skating now. Bad luck. With love Van. Just finished a design for a flying machine factory- Talk about being up to date" Card is addressed to a Miss Beulah Van Wie, Athens New York PO Box 66. Here is a link to Miss Van Wie; perhaps the writer was one of her brothers: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/9WF4-K5L/beulah-l.-van-wie-1851-1934
