Description: This vintage shoe shine kit from 1900 is a must-have for any collector or enthusiast and is perfect for those who appreciate vintage accessories and specialty items. Its partial label adds a touch of history and intrigue to the overall appeal of the kit. Still visible on the original label is a photo of a woman demonstrating how to use the shoe shine kit, by placing your foot on the top, and weaving a cloth between the metal rails. How cool is that? The box measures about 8&1/2" by 4&1/2" by 4&1/4" deep. The sides are grooved and the top slides in. There is a can of Tan Best Foods polish inside the box, but I don't know that I would use it on my best shoes. Box shows some wear and a few dings, but who doesn't at that age? My husband and I spent over 30 years collecting and selling at flea markets and antique shows and now are finding all kinds of treasures in our carriage barn full of stuff to post on eBay. All items are sold as you see them and all sales are final. Payment is expected within 3 days after the end of the auction and I will ship within 3 days of payment. Buyer pays shipping. I purchase postage labels on line so delivery confirmation is free. Ebay will collect and pay appropriate sales tax if you live in a state that requires them to do so.
