Description: Circa 1890’s-1920’s highly ornate & very attractive solid silver filigree dollhouse miniature Baskets. This listing is comprised of two baskets. Both baskets have some minor bends. The basket with a handle measures 3 inches tall with handle extended. With the handle down the height is 1 11/16 inches. The top diameter across the rim is 1 5/8 inches & the base diameter is 1 inch. The other basket appears to have never had a handle. There is one small ring inside of the second basket. But, there is no sign of there having been a second ring or any other ring or attachment to the second basket. Perhaps the second basket was meant to hang up on the wall at an angle inside of a dollhouse? We are not certain. In any event, The second basket measures 2 1/2 inches by 2 3/8 inches across the top. The height is 1 5/16 inches & the base diameter is 1 inch. These antique miniature pieces were made in Europe by a highly skilled maker. We are not certain of the country. But, our best guess is that they were probably made in England, Germany, France, or Italy. Neither of the pieces are marked as to country or as to silver content. But, we will guarantee that they would all test out to be between .800 to .840 fine silver. These two pieces have a total weight of 1.5 troy ounces which equals 46.4 grams.
