Description: This listing is for an amazing GEM BU 1887-P Morgan silver $1 coin struck at the Philadelphia, PA mint. It's graded MS 64 by NGC and is in an older NGC slab holder! This a very interesting specimen with some interesting imperfections. The strike of the reverse die is off center on the rim of the planchet creating a COLLAR on the right side of the REVERSE. The LEGEND is also DOUBLED on the REVERSE! It's always difficult photographing extreme closeups on these coins but we took as many different pictures of the anomalies as we could including shooting photos of each half of the reverse so you can see the collar on the right half and also several showing the doubling in the legend. For collectors of error and VAM coins, this is an excellent GEM BU specimen that will make a nice addition to any collection. Enlarge the pics and judge for yourself! NOTE: The owner of this coin did not have it graded for attributes but it may be worth resubmission for attributes.
