Description: Impressed gilt decorated green cloth hardcover sans dj, approximately 5.5" x 7.5" with 384 pp, 8-9 lithography plates printed one side of leaves, map plate same as lithos, sheet protected frontis of subject. Please note that the book does not list the plates and we could not find what the number should be - hopefully they are all there but we can't know for sure though we saw no evidence of any removed pages or plates Book is in good condition being bound, intact with generally clean smooth pages. Boards have expected bumping and rubbing after nearly a century and a half, owner's stamp front paste down and fly leaf, frontis tissue protector has foxing which in turn foxed the portrait and the title page, a little shaken and a little started but not falling apart, generally clean and smooth pages without dog ears or notation, a little more foxing sporadically in text block, end papers and back paste down, a fairly nice copy at an affordable price.
