Following on from the success of The Confessions of Harry Lorrequer (1839), Charles O'Malley offers the reader another supremely entertaining series of vignettes. A very smartly bound set, complete in two volumes. CONDITION In green half calf bindings with marbled paper boards and gilt-decorated spines. Externally, smart. There is some light rubbing to the corners and a little fading to spines. Internally firmly bound, aside from two pages and one plate to the middle of volume two, which are held by one cord only. Foxing to first and last few pages of both volumes and to the plates, pages are otherwise generally clean and bright with just the occasional spot and some light offsetting from plates.
