Description: Thinning out my 30+ year collection of great Baltimore Maryland and Carroll County soda, beer and whiskey bottles. I can provide additional pictures upon request. Offered for sale is #1210 a hand blown blob top aqua / clear Blob beer bottle from the William F. Kuszmaul & Son bottling house. I say aqua /clear as this bottle presents as clear as there was not much of a difference between the two but if you hold this bottle on its side you will see a hint of aqua in the base. Kuszmaul began bottling beer in 1886 on McDonogh St. He was a bottler for the Standard Brewery before Standard opened up their own bottling houses. McDonogh St was not near the brewery so in 1892 he and the family moved to North & Gay Sts. This was across the street from the Standard Brewery. Kegged beer from Standard was bought over to Kuszmaul's by horse and wagon and Jr. added the "& Son" by joining the bottle house in name. Kuszmaul & Son ran a saloon out of their address, bottled for Standard and later for Bergner & Engel from Philadelphia PA.This example is in nice condition. It is a dug bottle so there is come case wear, staining and flea bites but no major issues. This example was blown at the Dominick Cunningham Glass Works in Pittsburgh, PA.
