Description: This listing is for 120+ Concretions,(Nodules) #MC129, from the famous Mazon Creek region of Northern Illinois. The concretions in the pictures are the concretions you will receive. Most of these nodules were collected at Pit 11, and a few from various shaft mine locations of the area. Possibilities of the contents of the concretions include plants, ferns, clams, worms, insects, jelly fish, and many other things, even tully monsters are possibly. For best results in opening these concretions, soak in water for several days, then freeze them in the water. After frozen solid, allow to thaw, check concretions for cracks or opening, then repeat the freeze/thaw cycles until they open. Some may open after a few cycles. Others may take dozens of cycles. It can be a real test in patience, but also very rewarding when a cool fossil opens up !! Thanks for looking and check out my other Mazon Creek Fossils !! Shipping will be in a medium flat rate priority mail box, USPS. We will always try to combine multiple purchases to save on shipping !!
